Getting Access On-Line At Home

Question: The brochure mentions access from home....is this for the entire class or just the cycling portion?

Answer: The entire class, for those who choose/need to do it at home.

Question: Is the home viewing available any day at anytime?

Answer: Yes, once we finish class and get everything archived to the site - typically within a few HOURS from being live.

Question: How many days after each sat session will the session be available for viewing?

Answer: Four Weeks from the date of the live class.

Question: Can you view each session multiple times or just once?

Answer: You can watch it once live, and once after it is archived for a maximum of 2 times.

Question: What is the cost?

Answer: Visit our pricing page.

Heart Monitors

Question: What kind of heart monitors are needed for the class?

Answer: Garmin , Timex, Polar, etc will all be fine. The watch must be able to tell you the total time spent in each of 5 heart zones which you will need to write down or download to the computer after your workout.

Question: Do you sell Heart Monitors?

Answer: Yes, we are a dealer for Garmin, Timex, and Wahoo. We are also offering our iPod app which is still in development for anyone purchasing a Wahoo Dongle and Strap (we sell the combo for $120 plus free shipping).

Question: Are discounts available on Heart Monitors?

Answer: Winter Training participants get 10% off all heart monitors. Local Club (Pittsburgh/Oakmont).

Question: Will the sessions also be available Saturday & Sunday?

Answer: Yes, please see the Online Schedule for details.

Question: What is the cost to the consumer for Winter Training?

Answer: For participants at local clubs, we recommend the club agree to our standard pricing of $550 for the 12 weeks, payable in 4 installments of $137.50, and which should include unlimited access to the local club’s facilities.

Metabolic Testing

Question: The brochure mentions Metabolic Testing for each participant - is this being included for a pre and post test?

Answer: It is not included, but we highly recommend pre and post tests. At the Pittsburgh location, we normally charge $140 for the exercise test, but for Winter Training participants, we charge $99 for the pre-class test, and then after the program is complete, we do the post test for another $99 - so the price is dramatically discounted for program participants. It is the best way to validate their improvements, and to set their training heart zones from the very beginning.

Question: What is the role of the local club instructors in The Winter Training? Are they teaching part of the sessions or just facilitating the live broadcasts?

Answer: They are just facilitating the broadcast and actually joining in on the training. We "comp" them at least our portion of the revenue to help reduce their fee since they will be our assistant on site. Consequently, the club could extend a 40% discount, or let them take it for free. They have VERY little responsibility in the program, but to be safe, we estimate they may spend about 1 hour per week on reviewing notes and the point totals of each of the students (from the on-iine program Ride Journal)

ON-LINE TRACKING SOFTWARE

Question: You mention Ride Journal, who will be reviewing these for the club participants - the Cycling Fusion club instructors or your staff?

Answer: The Facilitators will be reviewing them. We provide some guidelines for interpretation and providing feedback to the client, and we are also available to discuss any specifics with any Facilitator (or even client if it is appropriate).

Question: Does the Winter Training offer a weekly training program in addition to the group training?

Answer: The Ride Journal provides this for training load, which is the most important aspect of training during this part of the periodization plan. However, other types of training will be discussed and taught throughout the 12 weeks (we do about 1 hour of lecture each week on some training topic related to what we are doing) that they can implement as appropriate.

YOGA & PILATES

Question: What do I need for this part of the class?

Answer: For the yoga portion of the Winter Training Program, if students have access to blocks, straps or blankets to be used as props during the practice it would be helpful. The transition from bike to mat is often challenging due to the lack of flexibility most cyclists have in the hips and/or shoulders. Utilizing props in certain poses will allow the body to stay in alignment and stretch muscles in a safer, more relaxed way.
