Feedback Of The Week

"Gene, I have been a competitive swimmer my entire life. Every week I spend a lot of the time in the pool doing a lot of yards. This year I tried something different and joined Cycling Fusion Winter Training. Because of the time spent on the bike during Cycling Fusion’s winter training I spent less time in the pool. This scared me at first; however, the improvements in my swimming and in my general fitness took bigger leaps in a shorter period of time than I have ever seen before. I believe the program at Cycling Fusion created this improvement. By getting out of my habitual swim workout routine and changing my routine, I was able to make huge leaps in my performance across many disciplines.

I competed in PA High School State Swimming Championships, again, as a Junior, in the 500 free. My time improvements amazed me. I dropped six seconds in the 500 free, breaking 5:00 for the first time ever. I give Cycling Fusion and its winter training a lot of credit for these jumps. Cycling Fusion introduced me to the science behind the workout. The lectures helped change the way I think about training for the better. This along with the Heart Zones that Cycling Fusion introduced me to enhanced me aerobic capacity and performance greatly.

I owe Cycling Fusion a lot. The information they shared with me and the training plan I followed, has changed who I am as an athlete for the better."

Week 12

I am an "at home" rider, who thoroughly enjoyed winter training.  I just signed up for Spring Training. I have been sucking up knowledge like a sponge and using it to improve my personal performance and my classes at my Indoor Cycling Studio.  I am inspired by what you are doing, and my desire is to uphold the highest standards of education, training and personal attention in my studio with all of my students.  Thank you for lifting us all up.  Cheers!!

I crossed the finish line about 2 hours ago and still feel such a rush! 12 weeks of hard rides, pushing myself harder than I thought possible. I can honestly say that I am in the best shape of my life.

Week 11

"Gene, I am serious when I say that if it were not for you and Cycling Fusion, I would be eaten up with grief.

One month ago,(February 9th), my 10 year old female Westie, Aubrey Rose, had sudden, acute breathing problems. The next day, I brought her brother, Donovan,  to the same vet for a well care check, and we learned he had Fibrosis. It was never detected before. They put them in the same room and with the vet nearby, they passed away together. Quite the love story and I am glad they are together...I even cremated them together but.....

Gene, I thought my heart would break into little pieces.  I know they are just dogs, but they were truly my best friends since moving to Colorado from Connecticut. I know grief...my Mom died of cancer in 1995, so this house is sad.  I have three wonderful children and I am grateful to have such a wonderful life,  but I tell you this hurt occurs every time I enter my home gym, where they would wait while I worked out. I can't workout at my workplace without being attacked by clients with questions so my home gym is the only place I can concentrate.

If it were not for you and your wonderful program, I would be a puddle of tears.  Your training loads gave me purpose and drive to get past the grief and reach those minutes in each zone. I had to program playlists ahead of time so that I would not go over my training load. This took my mind away from the hurt. I have been trying to pay-it-forward in the classes I teach ever since.

I have never been in this kind of shape and I have been a Personal Trainer and Indoor Cycling Instructor for 4 years now. Even in my class today, I sang the praises of your program.

I am going on vacation this Friday.  Going to ride in Tucson for ten days and get some sunshine. I bought a Cycling Fusion shirt and will wear it and speak highly of the program around the pool! I will take pictures.

The hotel should have wi-fi so I will try to watch the live feeds for the next 2 Saturdays.  I will keep up my ride journal while at the hotel since they have a Cycleops.

Thank you for the time you spend making your program the very best out there. I really look forward to meeting you some day soon.

With warm thanks"

I had set out to do the Pilot Mountain Challenge in North Carolina.  The ride was supposed to be 53 miles but I missed one of the turns and wound up riding 85 miles.  The ride really became quite a challenge.  One of the things that I noticed on the climbs was how much time I spent in zones 3 and 4.  Just like you had been saying in class was exactly what I experienced on the ride as far as zone 3 and 4 work done while climbing.  I really overshot the training points for the week because of the extended ride but I did have a good time.  Thanks for making our training apply to the ride outside.

Gene, To quote my daughter, "OMG Mom, you rock!" Was in Tucson last week on Spring Break with my family and did not want to let my training go. So, after a long day of field trips, or the exhausting work of reading by the pool, I would hit the hotel gym's spin bike and pound out my workouts. Many people stared and my kids were in shock. They didn't know old mom could do that! I can't thank you enough. I feel so strong now. I can reach and hold my heart zone targets easily. Although Zone 5 is still unpleasant, I am beginning to make friends with it!!!! In the past, I would interval into Zone four and five but never stayed in them for a lengthly period of time. Now I do and the difference that made in my training is nothing short of amazing. My class held high Zone three today mostly in the saddle with a few standing for a brief period of time and were amazed at their muscular endurance. They too would like to thank you. Must take my IPad to work and film them. They are entering week #9 of Winter Training on Monday. Really enjoyed your lecture last Saturday and am sad that was your last lecture/ride for Winter Training. You are a wonderful teacher and I have learned so much from you. Grazie Mille!

Gene, Just wanted to wanted to thank you for the opportunity to do winter training. I have been doing the on line at home version and loving it. It works,so much better for me with my family and work schedule.

Week 10

I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying Cycling Fusion’s Winter Training program thus far. The classes offer so much valuable information and I’m loving the diversity of topics, speakers and workouts. Thanks for the wealth of knowledge. I’m putting it to use!

thanks so much for your generosity in the health & well being of my livelihood.  i've never felt better! your program is a winner, just like my pal sal!

You and your team are an inspiration to me!!!

Week 9

Very pleased with Gene's training and then outlining of week by week expectations in Ride Journal/planner.  Best training I've had to date, including over hiring a 1-1 coach 3 years ago.  Really helpful!

Hi Gene - I'm getting so much out of Winter Training. I realized I needed to step things up this year, and this has been a great start to the year. I can see huge improvements in my cycling. I rode to work a week or so ago. While stopped at a light, a couple bikers cut in front of me thinking I don't look like a serious biker. When the light changed, I held back a bit seeing how fast they really were. Turns out, not so fast. When we started climbing a long hill, they really slowed. Then I made my move, easily passing them on the hill and finishing the rest of the climb strong and fast. When they caught up at the next light they both complimented me and asked how I got so fast. I just smiled - and then sped off! I couldn't do that without Winter Training. THANKS!

Thanks again for a great ride on line today.  I am a bit behind on the training  because I can't do them live on Saturdays but I just did the week 9 ride - muscular endurance and tempo riding.  That was a good work out.

I have been thoroughly enjoying the training.  It is so my speed - ha!

Week 8

I have thoroughly enjoyed the program and can honestly say that I AM in the best shape of my life and I am a Personal Trainer and Indoor Cycling Instructor. I am so impressed that I recently got my Cycling Fusion Certification and have been bragging about Cycling Fusion in my classes.

Thank you all for your OUTSTANDING effort.

Thank you, Gene for the fun "Shout-Out" last week highlighting my numbers!  I have learned so much from you and Tom Scotto.

Another excellent job!!

Seriously, though, good work.

It was an excellent ride - thank you for everything  - we all really appreciate you and your work. with heart, SALLY

Week 7

It was AWESOME Jennifer! We were whooping it up after those climbs. Very fun and everyone in our group learned alot about OTS and how to take care of ourselves. It was very validating for why Winter Training makes so much sense.

Great ride tonight with Jennifer. It was (almost) as good with being with her in person. This is a great concept, Gene. The online class worked perfectly with wonderful audio. I love it.

Great job! Loved it all!

Everyone at JoyRide says Good Job today, enjoyed it all, everything worked smoothly on our end. Thanks Gene & Jennifer for the incredible ride!

The technological aspects are amazing and we have enjoyed the variety of cycling trainers, testing and rides, and are even discussing how we want to offer this program next year.

Just watched week 7 as the Marin group is one week behind.  I want to let you know that I enjoyed the "picture in picture" that let us watch the speaker and the slides.  A great improvement.

Week 6

Chuck & Sally’s Ride.  T1 & T2 somewhat eluded me prior to CFWT.  No longer, and especially after Chuck and Sally’s ride and presentation.  I have one rider in particular who just couldn’t get enough of that ride- especially the T2 intervals!  (Then again, the RAAM is his kind of event!)  He lit up during that ride and has spoken of it each time he’s been in the studio since.  He even spent his lunch break yesterday going over his TrainingPeaks graphs of that ride!  (A side note- I am bringing on Blink HR monitors at Cycledelic and see so much value in reaching an even wider audience using the Zoning system… so excited!!!)

I am just finishing up Sally's absolutely terrific lecture! Gets me so excited Sally! Thank you!

Sally, you are amazing.  Attending this course (certification course the day after Winter Training) was such a positive, enlightening experience.  I'm blinking away, the emotional response and memory just took me from blue to yellow.  What I am trying to say is the experience was truly wonderful.  Thanks for your commitment and heart, your sharing and encouragement.

Week 5

Just a quick note to tell you that my gang is loving winter training.  Each week offers so much quality content that has already contributed to an improvement we’re all noticing!

Gene, we wanted you to know that you measuring improvements via our rides is something we really like!  My gang loves having sheets to use during their rides; things to measure, keep track of, work on and improve.  I made profiles out of your rides where we measured power across cadence ranges while in zone 2 in my weekday classes.  I’ll be doing the same for zones 3 & 4 soon.  The Winter Training gang loved it; morning clients loved it.

Loved the ride, today. My recovery was 36 beats. Getting a little better, thanks to Heart Zones and Cycling Fusion.

Everything is looking so stellar!!!  Way to rock it!!

Week 4

I have been very diligent about doing my training with you every week despite the fact that I am in class (Grad School) every Saturday.  I am a week behind and usually do my rides w/you guys on Sundays.  I love the training and the lectures and the Yoga etc......  I am so happy to be a part of this!

My group asked me to tell you that they love RideJournal!  It’s easy, it’s informative, it’s fool-proof and enforced periodization.  I base class profiles on it weekly and am getting rave reviews for how my profiles are building upon each other week to week.  Additionally, the Winter Training gang loves knowing they can come to my classes and get what they need to get for Winter Training.

Leslie’s nutritional lecture was fantastic! We were furiously scribbling notes.  Would a recipe booklet be possible that combines all of her wonderful nutrition suggestions for on-bike?

I have really enjoyed the lectures and the yoga was fabulous.....I am excited about getting my stats on ride journal and keeping up with my plan as well.

Week 3

Just took the week three class and workouts on-demand, and just want to say how awesome the content was! After the workout, I went to the airport to fly my trip, and noticed an immediate change in gait as I walked to my plane (not "change of gate" --G). My alignment was tweaked almost as if I had been to the chiropractor! Looking forward to more.

Specifically for Guest Instructor Leslie Mueller: Great job with CFWT this past week. I could have listened to you all day long! My gang really found it informative and helpful. I'll more than likely contact you soon with a couple of follow up questions!

Another great class yesterday, so much to use personally and to carry back to my class.  Enjoyed Leslie and Tom's presentation.  Interesting way to warm up on bike with a couple of posture techniques.  Keep up the good work.  Taught the cadence, strength, and time trial workout that we did in winter training twice last week.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say that you are all doing a wonderful job so far this year. I was happy with Winter Training last year and am very happy to be onboard again this year!

Pioneers never seem to get the attention they deserve, but just keep at it, we know who started it all!!  BTW our folks absolutely LOVED week 3!  Its getting better every week, so by week 13 I know they'll be having withdrawals!

Love the class, and the production is spot on.  You guys are great!!! PS I also love class builder!!

From Chat Window: Fantastic class! Thanks tons

Fabulous as usual everyone

Nice class today! I really enjoyed the alignment aspect. My back feels so much better!

Week 2

Completed Week 1 (a week late) Training of the Cycling Fusion Winter Cycling Training in the comforts of our home while watching it snow outside. I love the flexibility of being able to follow it via my lap top on my time, when it works for me. And if/when available on Saturday mornings - I can chime in to do the LIVE version with others across the U.S.

I too have been taking the Cycling Fusion Winter training via On-Demand. It works for my travel schedule to take it that way. Today I did the field test to get my training zones. They're pretty much spot on with the running field test I did last month (Cycling HR is lower, about -10 beats less). Looking forward to more!

It was a great week two of winter training today! Loved the yoga after our ride!

Thoroughly enjoyed the presentation today. You and Tom did an excellent job. I only watched today as I have had the flu or some type of crud. I am trying to actually be sensible and take it easy. I am sure I will watch the firt session several more times. Looked like a pretty tough class today. Pinkhouse Gym Home Made Threshold Chart

From Chat Window: JoyRide group says "awesome" job on the lecture Gene, that is helping to make this clearer

The ride was incredibly good. I have to say I am so into it I really do not want to miss a winter training!

Week 1

One woman said to me afterwards, "the education piece alone was worth the price of the program"  I agree!!!

Everyone thought you and Tom were outstanding. Your lectures were well organized, presented professionally and very informative yet easy to grasp and understand. Great job!

"Hey Guys, I wanted to tell you that this is the first year I've ever done a winter training of any kind. I just started riding last year in May after not riding much if any for over 20 years. I use to race mountain bikes in Berlin Germany. Last year I did NO low zone work and I struggled big time to keep up with the best riders in Quincy. I was always getting dropped when the tempo increased. This year is completely different. On the ride this morning I was in a group of 4 top riders from this area, some half my age, and I was not only staying with them in the fast pace line but won the final sprint into town. I owe this all to the winter training program. Starting off at 260 I'm a horse. But I'm down to 238 already just by putting in the work. The guys started telling me today not to take any more weight off. I think their getting nervous. :-) I've learned a ton from this course and I highly recommend it to everyone. What an awesome difference it has made with me."

The live feed came through quite well. I was just thrilled to have the live feed working and with the 10’ screen, it felt like you were right there with us! Amazing! I know how much work must be involved in the technical side of this program so kudos to all of you.

Thoroughly enjoyed the presentation today. You and Tom did an excellent job. I only watched today as I have had the flu or some type of crud. I am trying to actually be sensible and take it easy. I am sure I will watch the firt session several more times. Looked like a pretty tough class today.

I have not received my CycleOps 400 yet (their promising a shipment to leave 1/11) but hope to have it in place next week. Anyway, I used my elliptical trainer, and road along. Hard to do 100 rpm without arms, but I did my best. I really enjoyed the training and the Group X following, as well as the lectures. Looking forward to riding along over the next 11 weeks.

Winter Training 2012 Is Officially Launched!

"Gene and Tom,

I want to pay you a compliment - you have earned it and you both deserve it. We rode Week 1 of Winter Training at the PHGG (Pinkhouse Garage Gym) - imagine that we are in a car garage, it's 5:30 am in the morning, almost everyone is retired (our average age is 71 years), is dark and it's winter - cold. About 12 riders including 93 year old Pinkhouse put their bikes on trainers (well - we have some Keisers/Saris bikes) and we fire up a couple of laptops, a couple of powerpoint projectors, attach speakers and this is the picture that you get:

So, here is the list of compliments:

1. It worked perfectly.

2. It was only 4 days after the broadcast.

3. Tom's performance was the best yet - you have really fine tuned the "on air" presence Tom.

4. The stage, riders, Salem, Oregon gang, and everyone writing on their clipboards was excellent.

5. The ride was well constructed and sequential and clear to understand.

6. Cueing was excellent and the music was to the beat ... what we need for those without cadence meters.

7. It can stand alone as a ride without tutorial.

I have blogged, Facebooked and twittered the picture and experience to everyone in hopes that the community "gets it". We use the Gymbotron because that's what we have but your profile was excellent as a visual. The whole thing came together asPink House Gym what it should be - the 3 Es which you know - exercise, education, and entertainment. Keep it up on your end. I'll stream to you my response and be active this winter when I can. Again, thanks. Let me know what I can do to help!

with heart, SALLY (Sally Edwards, founder of Heart Zones® USA)

From the Chat Window

"Lovin this ride! The music is incredible and the coaching beyond compare!!!

Great Job Cycling Fusion and Fit FX! See you next week.

Great job! Liked the strength circuits. all video and audio worked perfectly here. Thanks!

Great first session! If you can measure it, you can improve it...the work begins again Thanks guys! "

"The maiden @HOME broadcast looked great! Kudos to you and the team!

"Laura has been such an asset to this process. She is always helpful, patient and very competent! Thank you Laura!

"My respect for this sport and those who excel in it has grown exponentially. I just did my very first ever 50 mile ride. My goals for this year are still the same; 1.) To ride faster and stronger over greater distances & 2.) To successfully finish a Century ride. Breath, cadence, pedal stroke, heart rate, nutrition/fuel, hydration, power, mental & physical strength/calmness - all of the elements I needed to be successful for my (first ever) event were covered in Winter Training, even learning how to persevere (aka "suck it up") through those inevitable uncomfortable points during the ride :) It was almost like you were along for my ride saying, "ok Kristy, you're going down this big hill and you can see the next one up ahead, what do you need to do?" Gene, as I exited my bike Sunday at the finish line, I looked up to the beautiful, blue sky above and thought of you, Tom, Jennifer & Sally and said a quiet, emotional "thank you". This journey has been and continues to be so overwhelmingly sweet."

"Hey Guys I won my first ever road race today, cat 5 of course, in St. Louis at the Tour De Grove. Nasty misty raining the whole time. There was a 160 degree turn 300 yards from the finish line and with the streets being wet I didn't want to go down so I attacked hard about a mile from the finish line just when they sat up and went a little slower. I went for it and got about a 100 yard advantage that they couldn't make up. That way I took the last nasty turn at a reduced pace and then sprinted for the finish line.

Thought I'd share the good news with you guys. I was the only one that wasn't wearing team jerseys."

"I am pleased to say that on Friday, I rode a 50 mile ride that included Thunder Ridge located on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. Thunder Ridge is known for being the highest peak on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia, total elevation over 3800 feet (you can check out the website under Thunder Ridge Classic for more information). The ride was challenging as I was used to riding the flatlands of Eastern North Carolina, however, with the Cycling Fusion training program, I was able to complete the ride without dismounting except for planned rest stops. The ride included a 13 mile stretch of climbing on the Blue Ridge Parkway up to the top of Thunder Ridge. The training really paid off for me as I know that last year at this time, I would have probably not made it. I was able to complete the ride without any time in zone 5!"

"Gene anytime u want me to write a testimonial for cycling fusion just ask...i cannot believe that its been 10 1/2 months since i broke my leg. thanks to the format of winter training i was able to ride with my friends without a problem :) yeah!!! i am soooo happy"

"WOW, the secret sauce is no longer secret - Winter Training is only at the half-way point and it's turning heads! It was overheard on the MS150 (Houston to Austin) last weekend..."she's how old? No way!" and, in their next gasping breath.. "she's makin' us all look bad, thought you were kidding - we'll have to ride 28 mph and catch up.." Week number 7 -- the adventure continues!"

Unsolicited Feedback From Our Live Broadcast

"I want to say my first ride outside met and exceeded all of my wildest expectations. I have to admit though that my pedal stroke was much more fluid and efficient and I found I could hold a faster cadence than last year on the hills. Heart and lungs felt great, bottom line, I am so much more aware of everything that's going on with my body, bike & breath & how it ALL fits together!"

"This is the ride I take 2-4 times per week. It has a lot of short climbs. I always judged my fitness by my time which varied between 59 min and 1:02 minutes. On my first ride after winter training my goal was only to try to keep my cadence high. (I trained to keep it between 90-95 on the Keiser). My previous cadence averaged between 65-70. I set a personal best ride in time with an average cadence around 83. My heart rate did stay in higher zones, but I did not have difficulty riding. I also learned the importance of base training in zone 2, even if it took me over a month to work on it."

"Sorry but, I just have to boast a bit. I ran the Parkway Classic 10 miler running race today. I finished it with the same time I ran it 6 years ago, but the cool thing is the only cardio training I did was Cycling Fusion winter training!! I ran one 5k in February, one 4 miler in March, and another 5k a week ago. That's it for running training. My hubby was impressed. So Winter Training also benefits any runners out there who don't want to spend the winter running on a treadmil. New marketing for YOU!! Just kept thinking if Sally can run 100 miles 4 times; I can do 10 miles. I honestly don't know how she did that."

"I completed the New Leaf Testing today at Lifetime Fitness. I am very pleased with the improvements. My VO2 max went from below 40th percentile to 85th percentile. My zones improved greatly with increased improvement of fat utilization efficiency."

"We sure missed you and your team and the all folks in Marin yesterday! Before I tell you about our modest accomplishment, let me give you a bit of background. I'm 55 and have spent the last few years at the computer for far too many hours. I've had Lyme disease and was immobilized for 5 years. I have had periods in my life with lots of exercise and very little exercise. Now, I would like to increase my exercise, but in a way that gives me energy rather than drains me. The only riding instruction I have had is in your winter training program. This weekend we took our bikes out and went for a ride on the Canal trail. We rode to the end of the trail, the furthest we have ever ridden! There were some huffing and puffing moments where we felt like you and your Winter Training crew were inspiring us onward. I think we did about 7 miles out and 7 miles back. It took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The biggest progress we both noticed was that we could do the little hills with no problem. It's a fairly flat trail, but the small little inclines have been real deterrents in the past."

Week 12

"Gene, Bravo to the 10th degree on all the educational information & exhilarating rides you presented over the past 12 weeks! I haven't been in touch with either you or Tom since our e-mail exchange in Feb. and I have to say I'm glad. I finished the Winter Training on my own & feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. This program has empowered me and now I want more. I put myself & my needs last (for the most part) in almost everything I do. There is always a class to develop, kids homework, problems around the house etc. etc. etc.. For the first time in a long time I put myself first, EVERY Sat., for 12 weeks. My family waited, classes were put on hold, the roof could leak all it wanted. I let NOTHING deter me from my Sat. morning appointment with all of you. I feel stronger, healthier & happier because of what you gave me, because of what I gave to myself."

"I cannot wait for next year! The goals and passions of Cycling Fusion are now mine too and I hope to educate my clients as well as you have with all the knowledge you've so graciously passed on. Thank you :) !!"

"I'm sad training is over :( thank you so much for the wonderful people you have introduced me to. The guest instructors this year were fantastic."

Week 11

"I was too overwhelmed during the start-up phase of the studio (we opened Dec. 1st, 2010) to take this on, but after receiving an e-mail invitation from Jennifer Sage to watch last Friday night, I decided to also sign up for one week of your Winter Training to check it out. I have been completely blown away. What you are doing is so incredible, so comprehensive, that I can say now that I absolutely want to be a facilitator and offer this through JoyRide next winter!!!"

"Great class today and I want to express that the program has been a perfect learning experience for understanding zone based training. Especially since I'm usually the type who hammers every time out and bonks too often due to under trained stamina (hated T1 riding) and an underdeveloped knowledge of fuel consumption (always in T2 therefore not enough matches to last 60 miles). So thanks for developing the program to straighten out those of us who needed a little direction."

"The virtual ride with breathtaking view! Learned a lot from Gene's and your cueing--fun, encouraging, power boosting... I would get the last song of the final climb at any cost:) It is so powerful!"

Week 10

"Went really well today. The group was more focused than Saturday. Several said that the workout was the best yet! The cues were really clear, and they loved Nina. Three people came back from the live broadcast on Saturday to do it again to the archive."

Week 9

"Gene-I'm a new Fusion junkie. I am very surprised, as I have worked out alone for most of 40 years. As you are most aware, if you have a training agenda (as I usually do), riding with others, outside, rarely works as they are either to fast or to slow. Today was the best workout I have had in 8 months, and leads me to believe that I will not only have others, but, do a good STP in 2012."

Week 8

"Really great lecture and workout! NO techno glitches! I notice the new video delivery system, or whatever the technical term is. 1st, Great delivery on the workout Tom. Everyone loved your strong presence and clarity and intensity. You were the captain of the ship! People liked that they could hear you and not have your voice over shadowed by the music. Overall this was one of the best sessions delivery and technology wise."

Week 7

"I must say I love the “Winter Training Program” so far. I can tell it’ll help my riding immensely. After this last Saturday I thought I’d be waisted for 2 days like I would have been last year. Not so! Hurrraaahhhhh I was NOT sore at all the next day."

"Students this am gave me great feedback on the program. Tim, rode outside yesterday for 3 1/2 hours and had one of his best rides ever. He has never done a solid base for himself and is already experiencing the results. Larry, the one who just started using a computer, told me he LOVES the program so much and was concerned about what he would do in a month when it is over."

Week 6

"To date your program has been absolutely phenomenal. I missed weeks 2 & 3 as I was out of the country on business. I cannot say that I have caught up entirely, but my performance has increased dramatically over the past two weeks (I am 70 years old and have used a heart rate monitor for at least a decade but this is the first time I have used it effectively)." All in all the program is fantastic!"

"This is the best cycling training that I have ever participated in. Keep up the good work.

Another great session today...What a treat having Sally Edwards speak to us today! I know plenty of triathaletes that would have paid money to hear her speak and we get to hear her just as part of our program. Awesome!"

Week 5

"I look forward to every Sat., not just because of all the great information, the guest speakers, the ride & stretch....but because you give me time to think about ME. Bravo!"

"Best indoor cycling experience I’ve ever had”.. is a quote from one of my toughest to please students.  Kudos to you!"

"Awesome job today!  Really appreciated the Tour de Zones, (got my HR up to 183 for nearly :30.  Hello zone 5!). My students really learned a lot from that workout!"

"Pilates instructor was precise, articulate and my class enjoyed her very much.  They all appreciated the improvement in both camera work (good job Dustin) and the more appropriate instruction for their level (it was still challenging for some of the men - but doable)."

Week 4

"Yesterday's session was great!  I feel better today than I have for months.  I have to admit the pilates must have loosened my hip up as I am able to move more easily than before.  I will try to log in while on the road and see how things are going.  I will miss you and the 'team' while away.  Great session!"

"Thank you so much for offering the webcast discount to the ICIPro members.  I am learning so much by watching you coach. I look forward to taking classes from both you and Tom at ICI Pro this year.  The class loved your Tour De Heart Zones profile.  It was a light bulb moment for many of them!"

Week 3

"I was blown away by the winter training simulcast last week, John. (this email came to ICI / PRO and forwarded to us at Cycling Fusion) It was just like being there. I could see both Gene and the class and comment or ask questions. The fact that Tom was leading the online chat discussion and Sally Edwards made it amazing. How often do you get to interact with two people of that stature?"

"Will it help me teach a better class? I think so, I think they'll learn a lot!"

Week 2

"Bottom line, I think the simulcast is the teaching tool of the future."

"I followed you Saturday for the whole day on Time Warner Cable Maine. I fell in love with both of you at the very intimate, yet energizing 1st ICI/PRO conference last fall (in Boston). I just happened to come across the live "feed" class you were offering last Saturday online. Absolutely wonderful job. I enjoyed the lecture, ride & the Yoga sessions so much that I signed up for the rest of the Winter Season AND purchased a power meter trainer for my outdoor bike when I have 2 perfectly good Spinner bikes in my home. I applaud you both for everything you are doing."

"See you tomorrow from your snowy backyard to mine (I'm not even going into the 7-10 inches thing). You have  your class in front of you and I will have my biggest supporters (ages 11/13) behind me playing "Black Ops" wondering why Mom is trying to say the "Pledge..." mind you, with breath."

Week 1

"Bravo guys. You rock. Let's get my HR (and hopefully my power) updates online soon. Let's have an awesome day tomorrow !!!!"

"All my people were very happy with the program today!  Excellent job!  Thank you"

"Nice job yesterday. Really enjoyed the format-well done to all! Looking forward to upcoming weeks of having someone train me!"

"First of all I enjoyed the training on Sat.  The technology is great, and I am looking forward to what's to come."

"It was great!  Folks all said there's a lot more to learn apparently! They were all tickled when you said hi to us in Beaumont, Texas! Nothing like making them feel special, that's for sure. thanks again"

"You rock Gene! We had so much fun from this side!"

"I wanted to acknowledge my excitement.  Watch out you have taken on a duel battery pack complete with recharger. :)"

"Gene is great - I absolutely loved the intro class - which is also why I've invited more folks this week to join us if they can, while there is still space. I feel confident that although I'm not a strong cyclist - I can develop cycling-specific muscles and more cardiovascular endurance, so when I get out on the road - I'm able to focus on the road and improving my riding skills and comfort."

From the Chat Window

"Great music"
"Gene is so inspiring"
"Great information"
"Where can I buy this music?"
"Will we get a playlist?"
"I am loving this!"
